Tigger
The Not Exactly A Bunny "Bunny"

Tigger was a special part of me (the webmaster). I'll never forget how he played with our cat Blay. He would sneak up on Blay and when Blay would turn around, Tigger would start bouncing around much like his namesake from the wonderful world of Pooh Bear.
Tigger's illness was very sudden and unexpected. When he began showing symptoms, it was too late to do anything about it. All I could do was hold him and I believe he felt comfort because he took his last breath peacefully in my arms after he licked my hand. |
Tigger's loss is not looked at as a bad feeling from me though. Since ferrets and bunnies are not meant to be together, I have not been able to have a bunny in the house. This changed a few weeks after his passing when on my way to the car, I found sitting right next to it, a little white "Angel" who looked almost as though she was waiting for me to find her.
She was an obvious give up from someone in the apartment complex. I made myself ready for awesome battle to catch this rabbit so I could take her to the Sanctuary for adoption, but it was all too easy. I just reached down and picked her up. It was almost like I was supposed to find her there, and Now I believe she was meant to find me. I couldn't let her get adopted to anyone else, so I adopted her as my new friend. She is hardly a Tigger, but a lot of her personality is the same. I will always miss Tigger, but it seems that maybe a part of him is in my new friend Angel...
