Sugar

October 1, 2002

Tell us about your friend:
Sugar was a purebred broken blue mini rex.  He was born in a litter of 5.  I got him and his sister Spice (still alive) on April 27, 2002.  Sugar was born on March 31, 2002( Easter of 2002); I got him at 4 weeks old.  At first we thought Sugar was a girl but at the end of June beginning of July, he grew testicles.

We took him to the vet and got him neutered. In the end of September 2002 I noticed Sugar's nose was starting to get a little snotty.  We took him to the vet.  They said it was just a case of the sniffles but a week later he was diagnosed with Myxomatosis.

He was in the early stages but suffering.  He had a big abcess on his throat; he could not eat nor drink.  He has green stuff oozing out of his nose and mouth and smelled bad because he could not groom himself.

Finally he was put down on October 1st 2002.  We got to say goodbye and on the morning of October 1st 2002, I walked out the door for school and said my last goodbye.  It hurts so bad inside when I looked back and saw him for the last time.

How it hurts losing such a valuble creature.  He was not perfect but I loved him and I miss him.  His trick was when I held him up to my nose and said "Lick my nose," and he would lick my nose.  I miss his warm little tongue.  I talk to him everyday as he watches over me in heaven.  He is with his sister Silky now and me and Spice and the rest of the family all feel an empty space in our hearts.  Miss you Mr. Sugar Booger.

Love,

The O'Sullivan's
