Blazer
Blazer crossed the bridge on November 14, 2011
I never knew how much Blazer had impacted my life. We adopted her from a small farm from a litter of eight. She was the pride and joy of our lives, and my little one literally called Blazer her 'baby.' Blazer was so blunt in her actions and knew how to work the ways to get treats, she was never afraid of a fight, and her eyes told us all. In the end though, she was the biggest sweetheart and snuggle bug in the world. There was nothing more important to her than just sitting next to us, and getting petted. We called Blazer lucky for a long time as she survived a bite that could have caused her to go blind. However, her will to fight ended when a Bot fly took her life, slowly, and painfully as we where unaware of the parasite, causing her death to be very sudden to us. I can remember, my little child running up to the rabbit every day, and saying she would "give him a kissy" as the years went, she did this everyday.

While I was petting Blazer she came walking towards him saying "Kissy!" and Blazer just jumped right into his cage and grunted. Never had I laughed so hard at Blazer's irrational fear. I miss Blazer more than anything. However, when she was alive I could see an unexplained happiness in her eyes. And that happiness alone made me feel better. My family and I had brought joy into Blazer's life, and to me that is the most important thing I could have done for her. I will miss her dearly.
